Concord Technologies Named to Leaders Category in Latest IDC Digital Fax Vendor Assessment

The latest IDC MarketScape assessment of digital fax vendors is out, and Concord Technologies has been named to the Leaders Category.

The report, IDC MarketScape: Worldwide Digital Fax 2024 Vendor Assessment (doc #US51812124, December 2024), can be downloaded here. Companies included were required to have revenues of at least $5 million annually, be global in scope, and have scalable solutions for customers ranging from small business to the enterprise level. Concord was placed in the Leaders category.

“Concord brings together a group of technology and healthcare professionals to bring real-world expertise to the challenges of exchanging, processing, and integrating healthcare data and documents,” the report stated. “It offers a comprehensive ecosystem of solutions to aid healthcare and other regulated industries to effectively manage important business information efficiently and securely.”

The IDC report also highlighted multiple strengths that Concord brings to the competitive digital fax market:

  • High customer satisfaction. In addition to impressive net promoter score, customer retention, and uptime metrics, Concord customers we spoke with raved about the company’s customer service delivery inclusive of being easy-to-do business with, round-the-clock availability, domain expertise, and geographic footprint in the United States.
  • Double-digit growth in an established market. The pro forma revenue growth for the combined Concord/Biscom entity exhibits a consistent double-digital growth pattern over the past 14 years.
  • Fax anyway you want it. Concord can deliver fax solutions via cloud, hybrid, or on premises to suit the customer’s specific requirements. The company also delivers a scalable set of solutions from base, essential, advanced, and premier levels.
  • Fax as part of a secure document exchange network. Concord provides a comprehensive secure document exchange and intelligent document processing network with a high degree of reliability and security.
  • Interoperability. Concord interacts with virtually any email, CRM, EHR, and document management systems as well as many security and international data protection regulations. Its recent Opero acquisition further demonstrates the company’s interoperability with Salesforce.
  • Concord’s Practical AI™ solution helps healthcare organizations achieve greater document efficiency by applying interpretative capabilities to clinical and demographic information in fax documents.

In concluding, the report recommended that Concord Technologies be considered not only now, but in the future as it leverages Concord Connect™, the essential Straight-Through Processing platform for healthcare providers and payers, along with other document-centric entities, to reduce the staff burden and administrative costs of manually processing incoming documents.

Concord Connect allows users to:

  • Receive documents via Concord’s Secure Document Exchange network, which delivers 99.99% uptime.
  • Harness the power of Concord’s AI-driven intelligent document processing engine that includes data extraction and classification, advanced routing, configurable workflows, and more, in a way that is easy to deploy and delivers a swift ROI. This is known as Concord’s Practical AI™ approach to intelligent document processing.
  • Enable the right level of Straight-Through Processing with AI confidence indicators designed for “human in the loop” intervention.
  • Automate the delivery of documents into EHRs or other systems of record.

With one of the largest secure document exchange networks delivering the documents, Concord Connect begins processing documents the moment they are received, streamlining access to the information that informs patient care. Staff that previously spent hours manually processing documents can now be redeployed from repetitive, data-entry and into more high-value tasks, boosting staff productivity and reducing administrative costs.

“Concord is also an appealing choice for customers that desire a provider with a keen sensitivity to customer service,” the report continued. “Last, Concord has a long 30+ year history in fax, but it is positioning itself well for the future as it evolves its offering that aligns with the direction of an increasingly intelligent document processing world.”
